This fashion company specializes in the trade of second hand exclusive international designer wear for women, men and kids. They also offer a variety of baby and kids toys, books and equipment.The company runs an intimate boutique store in Sea Point and the garments can be bought from the online store as well. All designer clothes are authentic items from top designers around the world.

The company brings designer labels at up to 70% less retail prices and many of these designer brands cannot otherwise be bought in South Africa. The secondhand clothes are chosen with care and only exceptional quality garments in pristinecondition are sold.

The shop offers the perfect outfit for special occasions or everyday wear. There is a number of well-know international labels from Armani to Zara at affordable prices.The company uses a range of marketing activities in order to attract clients to their shop and online shop, such as creating an online fashion magazine, distributing an online fashion catalogue and conducting regular fashion shows.

Currently the company employs 11 staff members and the team is supported by a number of local and international interns.The majority of the employees are young people aged 20-25 years, contributing to a dynamic and relaxed working atmosphere.

Internship description:

The company is looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic intern in the field of human resource management, to join the team ideally for six month.This is an exciting opportunity and the intern will play an important role in this growing company. The intern will have a strong impact on the fashion collections and presentation of the items.

Interns will be involved in following responsibilities:

  • Develop and write training manuals for various departments and team development
  • Coordinate, schedule and conduct training courses
  • Identify and assess training needs of staff
  • Record training outcomes
  • Develop the learnership program, including monthly assessment reports
  • Screening CV’s & conduct interview with applicants
  • Compile shortlist of candidates and present to management
  • Be part of various HR and other projects
  • Contribute content to social media and website
  • Support company’s events and the marketing team

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills & excellent writing skills
  • Knowledge of labour law and HR processes
  • Senior undergraduate or graduate student of HR studies or related field
  • Well organized and able to multitask
  •  Ability to work independently as well as within a team
  • Goal driven and result oriented
  • Attention to detail and “can do” attitude at all times
  •  Interest in fashion and people
