Assist in the development of a Social Learning Platform. The product is a free and secure web (and mobile) based network that supports messaging, information posting, the sharing of resources and events, as well as discussion and assessment - within and between schools and training communities. It also provides a comprehensive administration dashboard, giving organizations the tools to effectively implement and support social learning at any level. There is Partner Platformsthat provides a channel for researchers and marketers to connect with targeted sets of learners, teachers and parents.

Internship Description:
As an intern you will be working alongside the Community Manager and Chief Operations Officer. You will be in part, and sometimes entirely responsible for the execution of tasks assigned to you, and as such will be required to work as part of a team, as well as alone. The working hours are Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. (including 1 hour break).

Duties will include:

For the short term interns (1 month): testing, mundane and repetitive tasks, if the candidate is great, there will be more challenging tasks

For the medium term interns (3-4 months): more exciting placements which would likely be focused on content creation, project based work which might well be mundane and repetitive but with a higher chance to offer more job fulfillment and scope if the individual shows initiative and good skills

For long term interns (more than 4 months):

Focus on design/ marketing / web.

Support growth of company

Testing of the 3 platforms, and reporting on any issues:
  • Documentation of the process that you followed in order to create the error on the site
  • Testing of the same issue on multiple browsers to further define the issue
  • Explaining of the issue to the team so that a solution can be reached
  • Usability recommendations
  • Research on possible enhancements and how they can be integrated

Project Management:
  • Ensuring that tasks assigned to team members are completed on time
  • Documentation of requirements and specifications, as required
  • Process flow / wire framing in order to explain the desired process to the development / design team
  • Management of own time and projects to meet deadlines
  • Creation of timing plans to meet the business requirements
  • Brainstorming of new developments
  • Documentation of the brainstorming process, including the next steps for each team member

Content creation:
  • Compiling of content to be displayed on the 3 platforms
  • Sourcing suitable content for the site
  • Translation of site basics

  • web skills (coding-html,, C+, Java Script, App development)
  • Interest in technology and education
  • Graphic design skills preferred
  • fluent English skills
  • Digital or educational content experience preferred
